The 13th Annual Fairfax Turkey Trot is an in person event. In 2024, we had approximately 2,000 participants and are looking forward to another great gathering of trotters!!
The Turkey Trot starts at 9:00 am sharp on Thanksgiving morning. Complete your 4-mile run, walk or trot with your friends and family. The 4-mile course is located in the Mantua community. Trotters will run/walk through the lovely Mantua neighborhood with enthusiastic spectators cheering along the route.
The Fairfax Turkey Trot is a community event organized entirely by an awesome team of volunteers.
Where does the money go? Charity. We pay for the t-shirts, race timing company, porta-potties, bananas, water, and some other ancillary items and donate the rest. In 2024, after paying for the operating expenses, the Fairfax Turkey Trot donated over 60% of the registration fees to charity.
Proceeds from the Fairfax Turkey Trot will be donated to Britepaths (formerly Our Daily Bread). For more than 30 years, Britepaths has provided help and hope to struggling residents in the Fairfax County area. Britepaths is a dedicated leader in developing sustainable solutions meeting the challenges of low-income working families through emergency assistance, financial literacy and one-on-one mentoring.

This year Thaiss is under construction so there will be no parking available like in past years. Fear not! We have helpful volunteers who will help guide you to a wonderful parking location. See the map above => PRO TIP, see the green line on the map that represents a trail that connects numerous streets with the clubhouse's FFXTT start and finish line. This trail is an easy walk and nice short cut. No matter your choice we will be prepared to assist you with convenient parking. NOTE: We will have the streets closed at both the starting and finishing streets so please avoid driving to the clubhouse.
